Jinko, Waaree, and LONGi Lead India’s Solar Module Supply in 2024

Jun 02, 2025

India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025, the top solar module suppliers in India for 2024 were Jinko Solar, Waaree Energies, LONGi Green Energy, Trina Solar, and Adani Solar. Jinko Solar led the market with 15.7% of total module shipments, followed by Waaree at 10.7% and LONGi at 8.6%. Together, the top five suppliers contributed 43.7% of all module shipments for Indian solar projects.

India saw strong solar growth in 2024, adding 25.2 GW in new installations. This surge in demand was matched by significant capacity expansion — 25.3 GW in module manufacturing, 11.6 GW in solar cell production, and 2 GW in integrated wafer and ingot capacity.

Although Chinese manufacturers dominated the market in early 2024 due to relaxed import rules, the Indian government’s ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) mandate boosted the presence of domestic brands. Six Indian companies, including Waaree, Adani, ReNew, Premier Energies, Saatvik, and Rayzon Solar, made it to the top ten list.

In terms of technology, mono PERC modules were the most supplied (85.3%), followed by TOPCon (13.7%) and polycrystalline (0.9%).

India aims to install 280 GW of solar capacity by 2030, and local manufacturing will be key to meeting that target.
