Jitendra New EV Tech, under the brand Jitendra Electric Vehicles, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MET’s Institute of Engineering (IOE), Bhujbal Knowledge City, Nashik, to strengthen academic-industry collaboration in the electric mobility sector.

The MoU, signed by Dr. V.P. Wani, Principal of MET’s IOE, and Tejas Merchant from Jitendra EV’s R&D team, in the presence of faculty heads and company representatives, aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industrial application. The partnership will focus on research, product development, industrial consultancy, and technical problem-solving in the electric vehicle domain.

Key collaboration areas include expert consultancy from IOE to address manufacturing and operational challenges, integration of advanced engineering practices, and technical support for developing EV products such as electric scooters, rickshaws, and bikes. The agreement also offers IOE students hands-on industrial exposure through factory visits, internships, and live projects, enabling them to gain practical expertise in EV technologies and manufacturing processes.

Dr. Wani emphasized that the collaboration will empower students to work with cutting-edge EV innovations, enhancing their skills for future industry needs. Tejas Merchant highlighted that the initiative is aimed at developing future-ready engineers capable of contributing to real-time problem-solving and innovation in the EV sector.

This partnership reflects a growing trend of automakers working closely with academia to cultivate a skilled workforce and accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility in India.
