JSW Energy Expands Renewable Portfolio to 13.2 GW with 114 MW Commissioned in September

JSW Energy Limited has added 114 MW of new renewable energy capacity in September 2025, strengthening its total installed capacity to 13,211 MW. This new addition includes 21 MW from solar and 93 MW from wind projects. During the second quarter of FY26, the company achieved a total organic renewable addition of 443 MW, which also features a 20 MW floating solar project at Vijayanagar.

With these developments, renewables now make up 57% of JSW Energy’s total capacity, comprising 3,709 MW of wind, 2,213 MW of solar, and 1,631 MW of hydro projects. The company’s total generation portfolio has reached 30.5 GW, which includes 13.2 GW currently operational, 12.5 GW under construction, 150 MW hydro under acquisition, and 4.6 GW in the pipeline.

In addition to generation, JSW Energy has secured 29.4 GWh of energy storage capacity, including 26.4 GWh from hydro pumped storage and 3.0 GWh from battery systems. The company is targeting 30 GW of generation and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY 2030. Its long-term vision aligns with achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, reinforcing JSW Energy’s commitment to sustainable growth and clean energy transition.
