JSW MG Motor, Confident Group, and IONAGE Expand Residential EV Charging Infrastructure Across India

JSW MG Motor India, in partnership with Confident Group and IONAGE Technologies, has announced a major expansion of its EV charging infrastructure under the MG Charge initiative. The automaker has already installed over 800 chargers across India and is now focusing on setting up more residential charging stations in high-demand urban areas to support the growing adoption of electric vehicles.
Through this collaboration, chargers have already been deployed across nine Confident Group properties in Kerala, offering residents easy access to home-based charging. IONAGE Technologies provides the tech backbone for the initiative, enabling features such as slot booking, session monitoring, and seamless charging through its smart platform.
Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, emphasized that the partnership reflects their vision to make sustainable mobility a part of everyday urban living by bringing dependable charging solutions directly to residents’ doorsteps. Vimal Kumar V, CEO of IONAGE, added that their joint goal is to expand home charging to 5,000 residential societies by 2028, building confidence in EV ownership nationwide.
Flagship properties like Confident Lotus and Confident Aquila are among the first to benefit, setting new standards for green urban communities and accelerating India’s transition to clean transportation.
