Khare Energy Commissions India’s Largest Agrivoltaic Power Plant Under PM KUSUM-A
Feb 05, 2025
Khare Energy has successfully commissioned a 4.5 MW agrivoltaic power plant in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, under the PM KUSUM-A scheme. Spread across 16 acres, this dedicated research field is owned by progressive farmers Anand and Manoj Jain. It is now the largest agrivoltaic installation under the scheme in India.
The plant integrates renewable energy with agriculture, currently cultivating 13 different crops, including strawberries, cauliflower, ginger, and wheat, using drip and micro-irrigation for sustainability. This milestone strengthens Madhya Pradesh’s agrivoltaic footprint, making it a leader in this innovative sector.
