Kosol Energie Signs Rs52,000 Crore MoU with Gujarat Government to Advance Renewable Energy and Manufacturing Expansion
Oct 15, 2025
Kosol Energie Private Limited, a leading solar module manufacturer based in Ahmedabad, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth ?52,000 crore (Rs 520 billion) with the Government of Gujarat during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference.
Under this agreement, Kosol Energie aims to expand its manufacturing capacity, establish research and development (R&D) centres, and set up integrated renewable energy parks across the state. The initiative is part of Gujarat’s broader strategy to position itself as India’s renewable energy and green manufacturing hub.
The planned projects will focus on solar manufacturing, clean energy production, and green hydrogen development, reinforcing both the company’s and the state’s commitment to India’s net-zero goals.
In an earlier milestone, Kosol Energie secured a 400 MW photovoltaic (PV) module supply order in April 2025 for NTPC Limited’s 1,600 MW Khavda Solar Project, facilitated through Zetwerk. The company supplied 550 W bifacial modules, with 55 MW already dispatched as of mid-2025.
Currently, Kosol Energie operates with a solar module manufacturing capacity of 3.1 GW and is among India’s fastest-growing domestic solar manufacturers. The company’s expansion aligns with the government’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives, aimed at boosting local clean energy manufacturing.
This large-scale MoU strengthens Gujarat’s reputation as a renewable energy investment destination and underscores Kosol Energie’s growing influence in India’s solar and green hydrogen ecosystem.
