Kosol Energie Wins 400 MW PV Module Order for NTPC’s Khavda Solar Project

Apr 12, 2025

Kosol Energie has secured a 400 MW PV module supply order through Zetwerk for NTPC’s ambitious 1,515 MWp module procurement under the Khavda Solar Project in Gujarat. The order solidifies Kosol’s position as a Category-1 Prime Supplier for the massive 1.6 GW solar initiative, reinforcing its role in India's push for self-reliant solar manufacturing.

Kosol will supply 550W bifacial modules, optimized for tracker-mounted systems and designed to perform efficiently in the harsh climatic conditions of the Khavda region. The modules conform to MNRE, BIS, and ALMM standards, supported by stringent in-house quality testing, showcasing the company’s dedication to both performance and regulatory compliance.

To cater to rising demand, Kosol Energie has scaled up its automated production capacity to 3.1 GW. The company has already commissioned 2.2 GW of solar installations globally, spanning residential, commercial, and industrial segments across India, the USA, Europe, and Africa.

Kosol’s growing involvement in large-scale utility projects like NTPC’s not only enhances its industry standing but also contributes meaningfully to India’s clean energy and domestic manufacturing goals. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, the company is poised to support both domestic infrastructure and global decarbonization efforts through high-quality, India-made solar modules.
