Jun 20, 2025

Gujarat-based KPI Green Energy, a subsidiary of KP Group, has secured Letters of Award/Intent for 36.87 MW of solar projects under its Captive Power Producer (CPP) business segment through its subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia. Some of these projects will be executed in line with Gujarat’s Distributed Renewable Energy Bilateral Purchase (DREBP) Policy under the Gujarat Renewable Energy Policy 2023 and recent GERC tariff orders. These projects are scheduled for phased completion in FY 2025–26.

KPI Green Energy has an installed capacity of over 950 MW and an active order book exceeding 2.95 GW. The parent KP Group has signed major MoUs recently, including with the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, to develop 1.8 GW and additional renewable parks, respectively.

Financially, KPI Green reported a 70% revenue growth to Rs1,755 crore and a 101% rise in PAT to Rs325 crore in FY25. In line with its aggressive growth strategy, the group also partnered with Delta Electronics India to develop BESS, green hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure, and solar inverters. With 1.8 GW installed and 3.8 GW in the pipeline, KP Group continues to strengthen its position in India’s renewable energy transition.
