Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) Invites Bids for 1 MW of Solar Projects at Police Stations

The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has announced the invitation of bids for the commissioning of 1,192 kW of grid-connected solar projects at police stations across the state. The projects will include both ground-mounted and rooftop solar systems with net metering. The estimated cost of the projects is Rs 6.716 Cr.
The Project Location include 32 police stations in Gadchiroli, 7 police stations in Bhandara, and 12 police stations in Nandurbar, Maharashtra.
The Last Date for Bid Submission is January 6, 2025 and bid will be opened on next day i.e January 7, 2025. The selected bidders will be required to complete the projects within 150 days of receiving the work order. Additionally, they must provide operation and maintenance services for five years following the project commissioning.
The Developers are required to install the net-metering system, which includes applying for the net-metering connection with the relevant distribution company (DISCOM). The developers must also provide sealed and tested energy meters for both consumption and generation sides, including a bidirectional meter that complies with DISCOM specifications.
Once the work order is received, developers must apply for net metering within seven days and ensure any pending energy bill payments are addressed.
