MES Invites Bids for 1.1 MW Rooftop Solar Projects at Jaipur Military Station

May 12, 2025

The Military Engineer Services (MES) has issued a tender for the installation of 1,100 kW of rooftop solar systems at Jaipur Military Station, Rajasthan. The estimated project cost is Rs4.9 crore, with a completion timeline of 180 days from site handover. Bidders must submit proposals by June 6, 2025, with bid opening scheduled for June 12. An earnest money deposit of Rs565,000 is required.

The project includes separate output benchmarks for different locations: 720,000 units annually for the 0.5 MW Niwaru site, 187,000 units for the 130 kW Jaipur site, 280,000 units combined for Bhakrota and BSO Yard, and 432,000 units for the Command Motor Transport installation.

Eligible contractors must be enlisted in MES as Class "A" or above with a valid MoU with a CRISIL/ICRA-rated solar firm (minimum 1A to 2C), or be unenlisted but meet equivalent financial and technical criteria. Experience requirements include prior completion of at least one 0.88 MW, two 0.55 MW, or three 0.44 MW solar projects in the last seven years.

This follows similar tenders by MES earlier this year, including a 1.1 MW rooftop project at Rangapahar Military Station and O&M contracts in Rajasthan, signaling MES's growing focus on renewable integration.
