Military Engineer Services Invites Bids for O&M of Solar Projects in Rajasthan

The Military Engineer Services (MES), Chief Engineer Bathinda Zone, has issued tenders for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of two solar projects in Rajasthan. Bids must be submitted by April 16, 2025, and will be opened on April 23, 2025.
Tender 1 (Kanasar) covers a 1.02 MW solar project at AGE (I) Kanasar, with an estimated cost of Rs7.29 crore. Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs689,000 and a tender document fee of Rs3,000.
Tender 2 (Suratgarh) involves a 2 MW solar project at GE (A) Suratgarh, with an estimated cost of Rs10.88 crore. The EMD requirement is Rs869,000, with the same Rs3,000 tender fee.
For both tenders, the scope of work includes manning, operation, and comprehensive maintenance for 10 years. Successful bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee of 5% of the contract value. Eligible bidders must have experience managing solar projects and must have completed projects of similar scale in the last seven years—either one project of 80?pacity, two of 50%, or three of 40%. The 1.02 MW project requires Class ‘A’ eligibility, while the 2 MW project requires Class ‘S’ eligibility.
MES has been actively maintaining solar assets, having recently issued tenders for the repair and maintenance of a 1 MW solar project in Bambolim, Goa, and the comprehensive maintenance of a 1.7 MW solar project at Tughlakabad Air Force Station in December 2024. In October 2024, MES also invited bids for a 1.7 MW solar project at AFS Palam, New Delhi, with an estimated cost of Rs0.249 crore for a 270-day maintenance period.
