Nagpur Emerges as Solar Manufacturing Hub with Major Investments

Nagpur is becoming a key solar manufacturing hub, attracting investments from Waaree Energies, Avaada Group, JSW Group, and ECE India. Waaree plans a solar cell and panel unit on 500 acres with a Rs30,000 crore. Avaada will invest Rs13,650 crore in a 5 GW solar manufacturing facility and advanced battery production. JSW Group's Rs3 lakh crore MoU includes renewable energy and lithium-ion batteries, creating 10,000 jobs. ECE India aims for a 5 GW solar unit with Rs3,000 crore funding, while MSN Holdings and HyZero Inc. also announced large-scale green energy projects.
