Navalai Infra Wins Rs169 Crore EPC Contract for 37 MW Solar Project from MSRDC Arm

Navalai Infra has been awarded a Rs169 crore EPC contract by Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy Ltd. (MREL), a special purpose vehicle of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), to develop a 37 MW solar project. The project is split into three parts—16 MW at Igatpuri and 14 MW (AC) at Kopergaon under the open access mode, and 7 MW at multiple MSRDC sites under net metering.
The tender was issued in October 2024, and the work must be completed within 10 months from the letter of award. Navalai Infra’s responsibilities cover design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive O&M for seven years.
The installations will span toll plazas, tunnels, petrol pumps, MSRDC offices, and related infrastructure along the Hindu HrudaySamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. The contract also includes land development, internal roads, fencing, drainage, SCADA integration, and establishing transmission links for both open access and net metering.
Modules used must retain at least 90% output after 10 years and 80?ter 20 years, with a mandatory 10-year product and workmanship warranty. This project supports MSRDC’s captive energy needs and aligns with Maharashtra’s green infrastructure goals.
Recently, MREL also floated tenders for procuring 164 MW of solar power under open access.
