NBCC Invites Bids for 4 MW Rooftop Solar Project at Bokaro Steel Plant

National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has issued an EPC tender for a 4 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project at the Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand. The bid submission and opening date is October 13, 2025. The project cost is estimated at Rs207.8 million, with Part A worth Rs196 million and Part B worth Rs11.8 million, inclusive of GST.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs2.07 million and a tender fee of Rs11,800. Successful bidders must provide a performance bank guarantee of 5% of the contract value, with an additional guarantee if the bid falls below 85% of the estimated cost.

The project scope includes design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and five years of O&M services across various sheds at the steel plant. Work also involves structural stability checks, supply of monocrystalline modules above 540 W, inverters, mounting structures, cabling, earthing, lightning protection, safety systems, and spares.

The project must use BIS-approved modules listed in ALMM, with a lifespan of 25 years. Eligibility requires prior execution of solar projects of at least 1,600 kW with two years O&M, specific financial thresholds, and a turnover of Rs83 million over the last three years.
