NeoGreen Power Expands Zalki Solar Park to 36 MWp to Meet Growing Industrial Demand

Apr 11, 2025

NeoGreen Power is expanding its Zalki Solar Park in Bijapur, one of its largest operational sites. Strategically situated between Bijapur and Solapur, just a 45-minute drive from either city, the Zalki site currently has an installed capacity of 23 MWp. It caters to 15 clients across diverse industries such as poultry, casting, forging, textile, and steel — highlighting the growing industrial shift towards renewable energy.

To further support this demand, NeoGreen is set to add another 13 MWp of solar capacity at the site. The construction work for this expansion is scheduled to commence in the financial year 2025–26, with commissioning targeted by the end of September 2025. Once complete, the total capacity at Zalki will rise to 36 MWp, significantly enhancing the site's energy output.

This move reflects NeoGreen’s commitment to powering industries through clean energy and supporting India’s renewable energy goals. The expansion will not only meet the increasing energy needs of its existing clients but also allow the company to onboard more industries looking for sustainable energy solutions.
