NHPC Declares Commercial Operation of 53.57 MW at Karnisar Solar Project

NHPC Limited has announced the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of the 3rd phase of its Karnisar Solar Power Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Following the successful trial run on June 5, 2025, the partial capacity addition of 53.57 MW became commercially operational from June 7, 2025. With this, the total commercially operational capacity of the 300 MW project now stands at 160.71 MW. The project is being commissioned in phases and represents NHPC’s growing footprint in the solar energy sector.
