NHPC Floats Tender for 5.6 MW Rooftop Solar Projects Across Sikkim Government Buildings

NHPC has issued a request for selection to install 5.6 MW of rooftop solar capacity on government buildings across six districts in Sikkim. The bid submission deadline is July 24, 2025, with openings scheduled for July 29. The tender is divided into six categories by district: Mangan (682 kW), Namchi (1,217 kW), Gangtok (1,790 kW), Soreng (366 kW), Gyalshing (735 kW), and Pakyong (270 kW), with bid security ranging from Rs268,000 to Rs0.17crore depending on category.
The scope includes complete EPC responsibility, including design, engineering, procurement, installation, civil works, and commissioning. Only modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) are allowed, and the projects must deliver at least a 14?clared annual capacity utilization factor (CUF).
Eligibility criteria include prior experience in executing a cumulative 400 kW of solar projects (with at least one 40 kW), developing projects worth Rs4 crore, or commissioning an 11 kV electrical substation with essential equipment.
Financial requirements vary per category, with average turnover ranging from Rs54 lakh to Rs3.54 crore. Bidders must show a positive net worth for the last two years.
