NHPC Invites Bids for 2.56 MW Rooftop Solar Projects Across Nagaland Government Buildings
Jun 13, 2025
NHPC has floated a Request for Proposal (RFP) to install 2.56 MW rooftop solar systems across various government buildings in Nagaland. The last date for bid submission is July 11, 2025, with bid opening scheduled for July 13. Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs25 lakh and a document fee of Rs5,000.
The project includes design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, and commissioning, as well as obtaining all relevant permits and net metering approvals. Synchronization with the local distribution network is mandatory, and only solar modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) with at least 500 W capacity are allowed.
To qualify, bidders must have commissioned at least 400 kW of grid-connected solar projects, including one of at least 40 kW. Experience in process industries, infrastructure projects worth Rs4 crore, or 11 kV substations is necessary. Additional financial criteria include a Rs5.09 crore average annual turnover over the last three years, positive net worth in the past two years, and a Rs2.83 crore working capital.
This tender complements NHPC's broader clean energy goals, including a recent call for 1,200 MW of solar and 600 MW/2,400 MWh of energy storage across India, reinforcing its commitment to renewable energy expansion.
