Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Issues EPC Tenders for 5.4 MW Solar Projects

The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TGNPDCL) has floated two tenders for the engineering, procurement, and construction of 5.4 MW ground-mounted solar projects at multiple locations under a build, operate, maintain, and transfer model.

Project Details:

• 1 MW projects: Thallada (Khammam district), Chennur (Mancherial district), Gangadhara (Karimnagar district)
• 1.2 MW projects: Nallagonda and Nerella (Karimnagar district)

Bid Submission Details:

• Submission Deadline: April 7, 2025
• Bid Opening Date: April 8, 2025

Bidder Requirements:

• Bid Security: 2% of the quoted capacity
• Transaction Fee: Up to Rs50 crore
• Corpus Fund Charge: 0.04% of contract value (capped at Rs10,000)
• Completion Timeline: Six months
• Modules: Must be BIS-registered and listed in the Approved List of Module Manufacturers

Specific Tender Eligibility:

• 1 MW projects:
  • Bidders must have installed at least 1.5 MW ground-mounted solar and have a minimum turnover of Rs9 crore in the last three years.
• 1.2 MW projects:
  • Bidders must have installed at least 1.2 MW ground-mounted solar and have a minimum turnover of Rs7.2 crore in the last three years.
• General Eligibility:
  • Bidders must have an average turnover exceeding the contract value and must have evacuated 11 kV of energy in the last three financial years.

In March 2025, TGNPDCL issued two tenders for a 3.6 MW ground-mounted solar project in Warangal under a similar model.
