NSEFI and Amity University Raipur Explore Renewable Energy Skilling Partnership
Jul 05, 2025
The National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) recently met with the leadership of Amity University Raipur to explore collaboration opportunities in renewable energy (RE) skilling and capacity building. The discussions were held with Dr. W. Selvamurthy (Chancellor), Prof. Dr. Piyush Kant Pandey (Vice Chancellor), and Prof. (Dr.) Sumita Dave (Pro-Vice Chancellor).
As India accelerates its transition to clean energy, building a skilled workforce in RE technologies has become a national priority. Through this partnership, NSEFI and Amity aim to equip students in Chhattisgarh with the technical and practical knowledge needed for employment in the green energy sector.
The collaboration will likely include curriculum development, hands-on training programs, and joint research initiatives. With India targeting 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, such skilling efforts will be key to sustaining long-term growth and ensuring a steady supply of qualified professionals in the renewable energy value chain.
NSEFI emphasized its commitment to supporting educational institutions in creating a future-ready green workforce, while Amity University Raipur expressed enthusiasm for contributing to India’s clean energy mission through academic and industry integration.
