NTPC Green Energy Invites Bids for Inverter Supply for 140 MW Bilhaur Solar Project

Apr 09, 2025

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) is seeking bids for supplying 2,500 kW central inverters for a 140 MW solar power project in Bilhaur, Uttar Pradesh. Bidders must submit proposals by April 8, 2025, and bidding will close the same day. The selected vendor needs to provide a performance guarantee worth 10% of the total order value.

The required inverter model is TBEA’s TC2500KF, which should match the inverters already installed at the site. No design changes are allowed, and the new units must work as direct replacements. To confirm compatibility, the chosen bidder must supply an interchangeability certificate and factory test reports upon delivery. A warranty of 12 months from commissioning or 18 months from delivery—whichever is earlier—is mandatory.

Late delivery will attract penalties of 0.5% of the undelivered portion’s value per week, up to a maximum of 5%. Only Class I local suppliers, as defined by the “Make in India” policy, are eligible. Bidders also need to provide verified documents proving prior experience.

Additionally, NTPC Renewable Energy is active elsewhere—seeking bids for 271 wind turbines in Karnataka and calling for interest in building a 5 MW solar + 4 MW/12 MWh battery storage system in Great Nicobar Island.
