NTPC Renewable Energy Calls for Bids to Supply 1,200 MW of Solar Modules in Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has announced a tender for the supply of solar modules needed for its upcoming 1,200 MW solar power projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

The deadline for bid submission is August 28, 2025, with bid opening scheduled for the same date.

Participants are required to submit earnest money deposits (EMD) based on the capacity block they are bidding for:
  • Rs100 million for 393.9 MWp in one block
  • Rs200 million for 787.8 MWp across two blocks
  • Rs200 million for 1,181.7 MWp in three blocks
  • Rs200 million for 1,575.6 MWp covering all four blocks
  • Additionally, a document fee of Rs22,500 (approximately $262) must be paid.

    The scope of work encompasses manufacturing, supplying, packing, forwarding, and transportation of bifacial crystalline silicon solar modules with a minimum nominal power rating of 570 Wp to the Khavda site.

    Eligibility criteria require bidders to have supplied or produced at least 200 MW of solar modules or cells within any consecutive 12 months over the past five years, with at least one order of 50 MW or more. Only modules listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers List-I are permitted.

    Joint ventures or subsidiary companies may participate through a partnership.

    Bidders need to have an annual manufacturing capacity of at least 1.67 times the capacity they quote. Also, their average annual turnover in the past three years must be equal to the total capacity in MW multiplied by Rs2.47 million. Their net worth should be at least equal to their paid-up share capital, either individually or combined with holding or subsidiary entities.
