NTPC-SAIL Power Company Issues EPC Tender for 600 kW Solar Plus Storage Project at Bhilai Township

NTPC-SAIL Power Company Ltd. (NSPCL), a joint venture of NTPC and SAIL, has invited bids for the development of a 600 kW ground-mounted solar power project coupled with a 200 kW/400 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at its Bhilai township in Chhattisgarh. The project is part of NSPCL's broader green township initiative.

The tender covers comprehensive EPC works, including design, engineering, supply, installation, integration with existing systems, and commissioning of the solar and storage plant. It also includes one year of O&M and a five-year AMC for critical equipment. Bidders must submit a bid security of INR 5 lakh, and the last date for bid submission is May 27, 2025.

Eligibility criteria specify that only Class-I and Class-II local suppliers can participate. Bidders must have experience in commissioning a minimum 480 kWp solar PV plant and a minimum 100 kW grid-connected BESS, with successful operations for at least six months. Financially, bidders must demonstrate an average annual turnover of at least INR 3.77 crore over the past three years and a net worth equal to or greater than their paid-up share capital.

The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 3:30 PM, emphasizing NSPCL's commitment to promoting renewable energy adoption within its facilities.
