NVVN Invites Bids for 6 MW Ground-Mounted Solar Project at Cement Factory in Telangana

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has issued a tender for setting up a 6 MW (2×3 MW) ground-mounted solar project at the Cement Corporation of India’s Tandur factory in Telangana. This project follows the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) model. Only those companies who are already pre-qualified based on financial eligibility can apply. The last date to submit bids is April 24, 2025, and they will be opened on April 25.

Bidders must provide a bid security of Rs50 lakh The winning company must also submit a performance bank guarantee equal to 10% of the total contract value within 28 days of receiving the contract. The project is behind-the-meter, which means the power generated will be used directly by the factory and not supplied to the grid. The project must be completed within 7 months, and the contractor must also maintain the plant for 10 years, including annual critical equipment checks.

The contractor must use 540 Wp solar modules listed in MNRE’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. These modules must produce at least 90% of their rated capacity after 10 years and 80?ter 25 years. NVVN will manage the project and financing may come from various sources.
