Odisha SLDC Achieves Milestone with All-Female Control Room Shift

On January 27, 2025, Odisha's State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) made history by having an all-female team on duty during the B shift. The team, led by women, successfully managed grid operations, outage management, coordination with Eastern Regional Load Dispatch Centre (ERLDC), real-time scheduling, and demand estimation. This marks the fifth consecutive year of an all-female shift, demonstrating the success and empowerment of women in the energy sector.
