Ola Electric Set to Unveil ‘Ola Shakti’, Stepping Into the Energy Storage Sector

Ola Electric is set to introduce its latest innovation, ‘Ola Shakti’, marking the company’s foray into the energy storage and battery technology space — expanding its footprint beyond electric mobility.
The launch, now scheduled for October 16 (a day earlier than its initial October 17 date), was confirmed through the company’s recent regulatory filing.
Sharing his thoughts on the upcoming product, Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CEO of Ola Electric, stated on social media:
“Power has always been a utility, but now it becomes Deep Tech, intelligent, portable, and personal.”
Industry reports suggest that Ola Shakti will be the company’s first non-vehicle product, likely offering modular or portable energy storage solutions for homes, businesses, and electric vehicles.
The initiative is also expected to leverage Ola’s 4680 Bharat Cell technology, developed at its Gigafactory in Tamil Nadu, indicating a deeper integration of in-house innovation.
Through this move, Ola Electric — India’s leading pure-play EV manufacturer — aims to establish a comprehensive energy ecosystem, extending its technological leadership beyond mobility and into the broader energy domain.
