Oct 11, 2025

Power and Instrumentation (Gujarat) Ltd. (PIGL) has secured two major power distribution infrastructure projects worth INR 102.78 crore under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) from Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (AVVNL) in Rajasthan.

The first order, valued at INR 68.22 crore, includes the supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of materials and equipment for the segregation of 11 kV mixed feeders in the Dungarpur Circle. The second order, worth INR 34.56 crore, involves a similar scope of work in the Salumbar Circle. Both projects are scheduled to be completed within 15 months.

Commenting on the development, Padmaraj Padmnabhan Pillai, Managing Director of PIGL, said: "Winning two consecutive RDSS orders reflects the confidence our clients have in our delivery capabilities. The projects in Dungarpur and Salumbar are technically challenging and are crucial for improving distribution efficiency and reliability across Rajasthan."

He further added,

"These contracts provide another opportunity to showcase PIGL’s expertise in large-scale distribution infrastructure. Our team is fully committed to executing both projects with speed, precision, and quality, enhancing the state’s power distribution network."

Both projects focus on segregating 11 kV mixed feeders to improve load balancing, reduce technical losses, and enhance power supply reliability, directly supporting the RDSS objectives and strengthening the overall distribution network in the region.
