Rajesh Dharmani, Minister of Himachal Pradesh, presents the state’s green energy strategy at Regional Workshop, Jaipur

At the Regional Workshop on Renewable Energy in Jaipur, Shri Rajesh Dharmani, Minister of Himachal Pradesh, presented the state’s green energy strategy. Himachal Pradesh aims to meet 50% of its electricity demand from renewable energy by 2030, building on its current 75% green energy share.

Initiatives include a 1 MW green hydrogen plant, pumped hydro storage, and a 2 MW solar project with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Kaza. The state is also exploring geothermal energy and working towards becoming a 100% non-fossil fuel energy state by 2026.
