REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) Invites Bids for 2,500 MW Renewable Energy Transmission Projects in Madhya Pradesh

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has issued a bid invitation for the development of an interstate transmission system (ISTS) to evacuate 2,500 MW of renewable energy from Madhya Pradesh. The project will support power evacuation from:
- Rajgarh SEZ (Phase III) – 1,500 MW
- Neemuch SEZ (Phase II) – 1,000 MW

- Bid Submission Deadline: May 28, 2025
- Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): Rs33.76 crore
- Bid Fee: Rs500,000 + 18% GST
Scope of Work
- Setting up 220 kV and 400 kV substations at multiple locations.
- Installing 400/220 kV and 3x 500 MVA transformers at Pachora and Neemuch.
- Developing switchable line reactors at both ends of major transmission lines.
- Establishing a 400/220 kV Handiya substation and integrating a loop-in-loop-out connection into the existing network.
- Completion within 24 months of the contract award.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have executed projects with a capital expenditure of Rs1688 crore in the last five years.
- At least one project worth Rs337.6 crore should be completed.
- Minimum net worth of Rs675.2 crore over the last three financial years, with no negative net worth.
This initiative aligns with India's efforts to strengthen transmission infrastructure and facilitate large-scale renewable energy integration.
