REIL Invites Bids for 1 MW Rooftop Solar Systems on Government Buildings

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments (REIL) has issued a tender for the implementation of 1 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government buildings across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Maharashtra, Goa, and Chhattisgarh. The bids are due by May 17, 2025, and will be opened on May 19.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs500,000 . They must also provide performance guarantees for both the project and its operation and maintenance (O&M), with each guarantee set at 3% of the respective contract values.

The scope includes survey, design, engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning, along with five years of comprehensive O&M services. The project aims to install systems ranging from 10 kW to 1,000 kW per building, with an estimated total cost of Rs2.5 crore . Successful bidders must complete projects within 90 days, with liquidated damages of 0.5% per week for delays.

To be eligible, bidders must have experience with solar projects and meet certain financial criteria, including an average annual turnover of at least 30% of the project’s cost. This follows REIL’s recent invitation for similar projects across other states.
