REIL Invites Bids for 5 MW Rooftop Solar Project in Jammu & Kashmir

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) has issued a tender for setting up a 5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project on government buildings across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The project is valued at Rs98 million. Bidders are required to submit proposals by October 7, 2025, with openings scheduled for October 8, 2025.

The scope of work includes survey, design, erection, testing, commissioning, and five years of operation and maintenance, along with civil works, smart/bidirectional meter installation, and supply of balance of systems. Liquidated damages of 5% of the contract value will apply in case of delays in commissioning.

Financial requirements mandate an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs392,000/MW and a performance bank guarantee of 3% of the awarded value. Eligible bidders must demonstrate prior experience in executing similar projects within the last seven years, meeting one of the following: three works of at least 40%, two works of at least 50%, or one work of at least 80% of the quoted capacity’s estimated value. Additionally, bidders must maintain a minimum annual turnover of Rs5.9 million /MW for the past three years and a positive net worth as of March 31, 2025.

This tender adds to REIL’s recent rooftop solar initiatives across India, including projects in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh, and union territories like Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
