SCCL Invites Bids for 5 MW Floating Solar Project O&M at Singareni Thermal Plant
Jul 10, 2025
Government-owned Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has issued a tender for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 5 MW floating solar power project at the Singareni Thermal Plant’s water reservoir in Telangana. The selected contractor will manage the project for eight years. Bids must be submitted by July 28, 2025, with an earnest money deposit of Rs150,000 .
The scope includes comprehensive O&M responsibilities—routine, periodic, and breakdown maintenance; replacement of faulty modules, inverters, high-tension panels, and other equipment; logging operational data; and managing grid interfaces. Downtime for the system must not exceed 48 hours from fault occurrence.
Eligible bidders must have developed or maintained solar projects of at least 2 MW in capacity within the last five years, including two separate projects of at least 1 MW each. Financial criteria require a minimum annual turnover of Rs10 million over the last three years and Rs7.5 million in working capital for the most recent financial year.
This tender follows SCCL’s continued solar expansion. In 2025 alone, the company invited bids for 5 MW rooftop solar projects and floated tenders for 137 MW of ground-mounted solar in Telangana. Earlier, SECI had issued bids for a 10 MW floating solar project at the same thermal site.
