SCCL Invites Bids for 5 MW Rooftop Solar EPC Project Across Telangana

May 15, 2025

The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has issued an EPC tender for 5 MWdc of grid-connected rooftop solar systems to be installed on residential and office buildings across its operational areas. The total estimated project cost is Rs25 crore, and bids must be submitted by May 23, 2025.

Bidders are required to quote for the entire capacity and submit an earnest money deposit of Rs25 lakh. The selected contractor will also provide ten years of comprehensive O&M services and must furnish a performance security equivalent to 10% of the contract value.

The tender specifies the use of mono PERC modules with a minimum rating of 540 Wp, listed under the ALMM. The module supplier must have a track record of supplying at least 500 MW in India over the last five years.

Eligibility criteria include successful execution or development of a minimum 500 kW cumulative solar capacity in the last seven years, with at least five commissioned solar projects of 10 kW or more, operating satisfactorily for at least six months. Financial qualifications include an average annual turnover of Rs4.5 crore over the past three years, positive net worth in the previous financial year, and a minimum working capital of Rs3 crore.

This tender is part of SCCL's broader solar expansion strategy. In April 2025, it issued consultancy tenders for 137 MW of solar capacity in Telangana. In March, development tenders were floated for these projects, alongside a separate bid for a 10 MW floating solar plant at its Singareni Thermal Power Plant, via SECI.
