Schneider Electric Shifts Strategy Toward B2C With Focus on Home Electrical Market

Schneider Electric India is transitioning its strategic focus from B2B to B2C, placing greater emphasis on its home electrical solutions portfolio. Sumati Sahgal, Vice President - Home & Distribution, stated that the company is ramping up its integrated marketing campaigns and expanding product offerings targeted at homeowners. This move aligns with the exponential growth in India’s residential and retail markets, which have been expanding at an annual rate of 10–12%.
The company sees the residential segment as a key growth driver and plans to outpace the market’s growth with its own portfolio. Schneider’s range of home electrical solutions includes switches, lighting, power conditioning, and home security products. Its latest range is fully manufactured in India, reinforcing its commitment to local production while aiming to enhance brand visibility and consumer outreach.
