SECI Declares Winners for 2 GW Solar and 4 GWh Energy Storage Tender

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced the results of its latest auction for 2,000 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar projects coupled with 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh of energy storage systems, marking a significant milestone in India’s renewable energy expansion.
The competitive tender attracted strong participation from leading developers. The awarded capacities and corresponding developers are as follows:
• Shivalaya Construction Pvt. Ltd. – 600 MW
• Purvah Green Power – 300 MW
• Welspun Renewable Energy – 200 MW
• MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Ltd. – 150 MW
• Banyan Insolation Pvt. Ltd. – 100 MW
• Stockwell Solar Services – 80 MW
• LC Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. – 50 MW
• Oswal Cables Ltd. – 50 MW
These companies secured projects at a tariff of ?2.86 per kWh.
Additionally, SAEL Industries Ltd. (300 MW), GH2 Solar Pvt. Ltd. (50 MW), and Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd. (120 MW) won capacities with bids at ?2.87 per kWh.
The tender, issued in June 2025, aims to advance India’s renewable energy storage capabilities, ensuring better grid stability and enhanced dispatch flexibility.
In a related development, SECI in September 2025 released a request for selection (RfS) for 3,640 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV projects under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model, through tariff-based competitive bidding (RTSPV–Tranche IV).
