SECI Invites Bids for 3.64 MW Rooftop Solar Projects Across 11 Government Institutions

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender to install 3,640 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects across 11 government institutions in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, and Uttarakhand under Tranche IV. Bids must be submitted by October 27, 2025, and will be opened on October 30.
The projects will be implemented under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) mode and divided into Category A and Category B. Bidders may apply for a single project or the full capacity.
Earnest money deposits will range from Rs441,000 to Rs232,650 depending on the site, while service charges will be Rs1,350/kW for Category A and Rs1,485/kW for Category B. A bid processing fee of Rs6,000 is applicable. Successful bidders must provide a performance bank guarantee of Rs3,375/kW for Category A and Rs3,715/kW for Category B.
The scope of work covers design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and grid connectivity, along with approvals for net metering. Developers must also handle 25 years of O&M, including replacement of equipment, insurance, and meeting CUF guarantees (15% for Category A and 13.5% for Category B).
