SECI Invites Bids for 3.85 MW Rooftop and Ground-Mounted Solar Projects Across India
Jun 27, 2025
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a request for selection (RfS) for 3,850 kW grid-connected rooftop and ground-mounted solar power systems across six campuses in New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, and Meghalaya. Bidders must submit proposals by July 28, 2025, with bid openings on July 31. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs6,000 is applicable.
The projects will require selected developers to undertake the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and 25-year O&M, including net metering and grid connectivity. Locations include IIT Indore, IIM Shillong, IGNOU Delhi, IUAC Delhi, NIT Puducherry, and IGRMS Bhopal. Performance bank guarantees vary by site, with a maximum of Rs3,715/kW for IIM Shillong.
Each project requires a 25-year PPA and must meet capacity utilization factors (CUF) of 15% (except Shillong at 13.5%). Only components listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) are allowed.
Bidders must demonstrate specified net worth and working capital levels for each location based on FY2025 or as of seven days before the deadline. Selected bidders must also secure no-objection certificates and necessary permits and provide training.
This tender complements SECI’s broader strategy, including a recent tender for 1,200 MW of solar with 600 MW/3,600 MWh storage, marking its continued push for reliable, distributed solar infrastructure.
