Serentica Renewables Signs 100 MW RTC PPA with SECI
Sept 22, 2025
Serentica Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 100 MW round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project. Under the agreement, Serentica must meet 80% of the specified hourly demand each month, with obligations ranging from 17 MW during low-demand hours to 100 MW during peak hours.
To meet this requirement, Serentica will deploy a hybrid setup of wind and solar power, supported by battery energy storage systems (BESS). The project is expected to supply over 400 GWh of clean energy annually, ensuring stable and reliable renewable power delivery.
This deal follows Serentica’s recent expansion moves. Earlier this month, the company acquired Statkraft’s Indian solar business, including a 445 MWp operational solar plant in Bikaner and 1 GWp of development assets across Rajasthan. Additionally, Serentica has invited expressions of interest from infrastructure and construction partners for executing wind projects in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
The PPA strengthens Serentica’s position as a key RTC renewable energy supplier, supporting India’s shift towards firm, dispatchable clean energy solutions that balance variability in wind and solar generation.
