SG Mart Enters Renewable Sector with Rs266 Cr Solar Mounting Orders under APL Apollo SunSteel

SG Mart, a B2B platform specializing in construction materials, has entered the renewable energy sector by launching solar module mounting structures under its new brand, APL Apollo SunSteel. The company has already secured confirmed orders worth Rs266 crore (excluding GST) from several Independent Power Producers (IPPs), indicating strong market traction for its solar product line.

Deliveries for the initial orders have already begun. SG Mart is leveraging its extensive steel procurement strength and nationwide distribution network to meet the growing demand for solar mounting systems, driven by India’s expanding renewable energy targets.

Shiv Bansal, Joint Managing Director of SG Mart, highlighted that the move to diversify into the solar segment is gaining validation from the encouraging response received from IPPs and EPC contractors. The company aims to rapidly scale up its operations in this space by capitalizing on its deep industry linkages and raw material advantages.

This foray into renewable energy aligns with SG Mart’s broader strategic vision to expand into emerging sectors while continuing to serve India’s infrastructure and energy transition goals.
