Shakti Pumps Secures MEDA Contract for 445 Off-grid Solar Water Pumps under PM-KUSUM

Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. has announced the receipt of a Letter of Award from the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 445 Off-grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra.

The project falls under the ambit of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, which aims to promote solar-powered irrigation solutions for farmers, ensuring sustainable and reliable access to water.

The total value of the work order is approximately Rs12.42 crore (inclusive of GST). The contract stipulates a 120-day timeline for completion, targeting August 2025 as the delivery date.

This development reinforces Shakti Pumps’ growing footprint in the solar-driven agricultural solutions market and aligns with India’s larger goal of boosting rural solar adoption.
