Sharika Enterprises Bags JSW Energy Contract for Smart Switchgear in Wind Project

Sept 05, 2025

Noida-based Sharika Enterprises has won a contract worth ?58.16 lakh from JSW Renew Energy Three, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, for the supply of 33KV Outdoor Smart SF6 Load Break Switches (LBS) to be deployed in the company’s wind farm project. These advanced smart switchgear units, designed for underground renewable power distribution, enhance safety, reliability, and operational flexibility, making them a cost-efficient alternative to traditional Ring Main Units (RMUs).

The project builds on Sharika’s earlier supply of underground cables to JSW’s wind farms, strengthening their collaboration. According to Somdutt Sharma, GM of Sharika Enterprises, the adoption of underground cabling and smart switchgear will help reduce outages, improve grid stability, and prepare renewable infrastructure for future demand. The system’s ring operation and self-healing capabilities make it more resilient and responsive, supporting uninterrupted renewable power supply.

The switchgear solution is manufactured by Contronics Switchgear, which brings technical expertise in electrical power systems. Together, Sharika and Contronics aim to deliver future-ready, cost-effective, and sustainable power solutions that align with India’s renewable energy transition goals.
