Shell in Talks to Sell 300-MW Renewable Energy Portfolio in India

Shell Plc is negotiating with Mumbai-based Sekura Energy to sell a 300-MW portfolio from its Indian renewable energy platform, Sprng Energy, valued at Rs1,200 crore. Shell had enlisted HSBC to facilitate the sale of its 1 GW portfolio, engaging in talks with multiple investors for different asset modules. Sprng Energy, a fully owned entity of Shell, currently operates 2.3 GW of renewable assets and has a 5 GW pipeline.
The assets under discussion are located in Rajasthan and Gujarat, with Shell planning to divest two 300 MW portfolios and one 125 MW portfolio.
