SJVN Green Energy Begins Operations for 241.77 MW Solar Project in Bikaner

SJVN Green Energy Limited has commenced operations for a 241.77 MW solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, as part of its 1,000 MW solar power project. The project has successfully completed trial runs and is expected to be fully commissioned by April 2, 2025.
Project Timeline & Impact:
- The 1,000 MW project is being developed in phases, with full operational capacity expected by September 30, 2025.
- Power generated from the project will be supplied to Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttarakhand.
SJVN’s Recent Expansion:
- In March 2025, SJVN Limited signed an MoU with the Government of Chhattisgarh and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited for a 1,800 MW pumped hydro storage project in Balrampur.
- The Rs9,500 crore investment in pumped hydro storage aligns with SJVN’s strategy to enhance renewable energy capacity and grid stability.
