SJVN Green Energy Floats EPC Tender for 500 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 500 MW of solar power projects near the 220 kV Bikaner-IV substation at Ambaran, Rajasthan. This tender forms part of SGEL’s 1,000 MW power purchase agreement (PPA) with Punjab State Power Corporation.

Bidders must submit proposals by September 12, 2025, along with an earnest money deposit of Rs265 million for 250 MW and Rs530 million for 500 MW. The document fee is set at Rs5,000. Participation requires a minimum bid of 250 MW.

The EPC scope covers full project development including design, engineering, procurement, testing, supply, installation, commissioning, and land acquisition. Developers must also set up power evacuation infrastructure, secure all permits, and provide insurance coverage. Comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of the solar project, switchyard, and evacuation facilities must be ensured for three years.

Eligibility criteria require bidders to have experience in at least 30 MW of solar EPC or development work in the past ten years, with one project of at least 10 MW. They must also demonstrate financial strength, including a minimum annual turnover of Rs15.9 million/MW.
