SJVN Invites Bids for 401 MW Solar Projects under MSKVY 2.0 in Maharashtra

Aug 20, 2025

SJVN has issued a tender seeking bids for the balance of systems (BoS) and land package to set up 401 MW of solar projects in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0 – Component C. The last date for submission is September 9, 2025, with bids opening on the same day.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs582,000 (~$6,660)/MW and a bid fee of Rs5,000 plus 18% GST. The projects form part of the 1,352 MW capacity secured by SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN, under MSKVY 2.0.

The scope of work includes land acquisition or sub-lease, site development, construction, installation of equipment, O&M for three years, and power evacuation infrastructure up to the interconnection point. Bidders are also responsible for transporting modules to the project site.

Eligibility requires experience in EPC or BoS for at least 30 MW of grid-connected solar projects, with one project of 10 MW operational for three months. Alternatively, bidders with EPC experience in industrial projects worth Rs8.8 million/MW or electrical substations of at least 33 kV are also eligible. Financially, bidders must have an average turnover of Rs8.8 million/MW over the last three years and positive net worth in at least two of them.

This tender follows Maharashtra’s recent 3.43 GW solar bid announcement, reinforcing the state’s strong push toward agricultural solar adoption under MSKVY 2.0.
