Skkytop Aims for 1.5 GW Solar Module Capacity with Focus on Innovation and Self-Reliance

May 22, 2025

Standard Skkytop Rise Pvt. Ltd., under the leadership of CEO Rahul Tarani, is accelerating its solar manufacturing journey with an ambitious goal of achieving 1.5 GW production capacity by 2026. In an interview with Energetica India, Tarani highlighted Skkytop’s ACE series of ALMM and BIS-certified solar modules, which stand out for their advanced N-Type TOPCon technology, wide power range (20–635 Wp), robust build, and low LCOE—making them ideal for diverse applications from residential rooftops to utility-scale projects.

Skkytop’s manufacturing plant, strategically located near India’s western seacoast, is equipped with automated production lines that offer logistical and operational advantages for both domestic and export markets. The company is also committed to stringent quality control and rapid scaling supported by innovation and excellence.

Tarani emphasized the importance of technological self-reliance and the need to build a holistic solar ecosystem in India, including ancillary components. He underscored that robust EPC practices—like skilled manpower, certified materials, and land-efficient installations on wastelands and water bodies—are critical for long-term project success.

He also pointed to the transformative potential of hybrid systems and energy storage, especially in reducing dependency on fossil fuels and addressing pollution from thermal plants. Government initiatives such as PM-KUSUM and Make in India continue to play a pivotal role, and Skkytop plans to align with these frameworks while integrating next-gen solutions to make India a clean energy leader.
