TATA.ev Unveils 'Open Collaboration 2.0' to Expand India's EV Charging Network
Feb 14, 2025
TATA.ev has launched 'Open Collaboration 2.0', a new initiative to strengthen India's EV charging infrastructure. The company aims to double India's EV charging points to 400,000 by 2027. As part of this expansion, 500 high-speed 'Mega Chargers' will be installed in collaboration with Tata Power, ChargeZone, Statiq, and Zeon, strategically placed in key cities and highways.
The initiative also includes a unified call center for customer support, a simplified RFID-based payment system, and a quality certification program (TATA.ev Verified badge) for charging stations. While Mega Chargers will be accessible to all EV users, TATA.ev customers will receive priority access and up to 25% discount on charging fees. This move reinforces TATA.ev's commitment to expanding India's EV ecosystem and enhancing charging accessibility across the country.
