On World EV Day, Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. (TPEM) unveiled Mumbai’s first premium large-scale EV charging hub under the TATA.ev MegaCharger initiative, marking India’s largest co-branded charging facility.

Located near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, within The Leela Mumbai Hotel, the hub is designed to serve private EV owners, taxis, ride-hailing fleets, and logistics operators. Positioned in a high-traffic corridor linking Andheri, Bandra Kurla Complex, and South Mumbai, it offers convenience for frequent flyers, hotel guests, and professionals.

The MegaCharger hub is powered entirely by renewable energy and features eight fast DC chargers (up to 120 kW) with 16 bays, enabling simultaneous charging for 16 EVs with 24/7 access.

Tata Power CEO Dr. Praveer Sinha said the hub reflects an integrated approach to green mobility and will serve as a benchmark for future EV infrastructure. Shailesh Chandra, MD of TPEM, highlighted that this co-branded installation is the first of many to come, accelerating EV adoption in India.

While open to all EV users, TATA.ev customers will enjoy exclusive benefits such as priority access and up to 25% discounts through the Tata Power EZ Charge app.
