Tata Power Renewables Commissions Record 752 MW Solar in Q1 FY26
Jul 04, 2025
Tata Power Renewables has achieved a record commissioning of 752 MW of solar power projects in the first quarter of FY26 (April–June 2025), more than doubling its performance from the same period last year when it commissioned 354 MW. With this, the company’s total utility-scale operational capacity has reached 5.6 GW, including 4.6 GW of solar and 1 GW of wind power.
The company plans to commission an additional 1.7 GW of utility-scale owned capacity during FY26, along with 1 GW of third-party projects. Tata Power Renewables attributes this achievement to its strong execution model, advanced engineering practices, resilient supply chain, and robust vendor partnerships.
As a key developer and operator of renewable energy assets, including solar, wind, floating solar, and battery energy storage systems, Tata Power Renewables continues to play a significant role in India’s clean energy transition. This commissioning milestone also underlines the company's strategic focus on scaling up its owned renewable portfolio while supporting India’s increasing energy demand with sustainable solutions.
