Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (TVNL) Invites Bids for 50 MW Solar EPC Project at TTPS, Bokaro

Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (TVNL) has issued a tender for the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) of a 50 MW solar project at its Tenughat Thermal Power Station in Bokaro, Jharkhand. The project will be awarded on a turnkey basis, meaning the selected contractor must handle everything from design and installation to commissioning and maintenance. Bids must be submitted by June 11, 2025, and will be opened the next day. An earnest money deposit of Rs4.82 crore and a tender fee of Rs17,700 are required. The winning bidder will also have to submit a 10% security deposit within 30 days of receiving the work order.
The scope includes setting up the solar panels, overhead lines or underground cables, and connecting the system to the 220 kV TTPS substation. The contractor must also handle operations and maintenance for ten years. The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs241 crore, and it must be completed within 300 days.
To qualify, companies must have prior experience with at least 20 MW solar projects and must meet specific financial and technical requirements. Meanwhile, the Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency has floated another tender for O&M of 3.9 MW rooftop solar systems.
